A Christmas Carol

Production date: 2009 (American production)
Genre: comedy, fantasy, and action
Duration: 96 minutes
Directed by: Robert Zemeckis

An animated film based on the masterpiece of the well-known English writer Charles Dickens. It is one of the most important and famous Christmas stories of the Victorian era. The story in this film is told entirely using motion capture, a technique that was used in this film after it reached its full maturity in previous cinematic works.

Jim Carrey, who is considered a genius at playing diverse characters and imitating voices, plays multiple roles in this film, including the role of “Uncle Scrooge”, a cruel cheapskate who is visited by the ghosts of Christmas from the past, present and future in an attempt to cause a change in his heart and to show him compassion and love. The director, Robert Zemeckis, presents a wonderful visual simulation of the atmosphere of the Victorian streets and homes of London while preserving Dickens’ way of expression. In addition to Jim Carrey, the film also co-stars Gary Oldman, Colin Firth and Robin Wright.

The film is coordinated and presented by Aly Nagaty.

Attendance is open to the public without registration or prior reservation.
