About Event:

Ameni Riahi is a multidisciplinary artist, known for her work as a singer, writer, and actress. Her career is rich and inspiring, marked by a diverse body of work across various artistic fields. She began her music career with the bands Jad and Jahr, both of which are renowned for their socially engaged art. At the same time, she ventured into cinema and TV, landing significant roles in films like Ghabra and Nawar.On television, Ameni Riahi brilliantly portrays the character of Aïsha in the Ramadan series Beb El Rizk, produced in 2024 by Tunisian National Television and in the tv series جيران الغفلة in ramadan 2025.
Ameni also excels in musical theater. She wrote and performed the Tunisian version of Disney’s Aladdin, in collaboration with the street circus Paparouni. In 2023, her original project Kima Al-Rih earned her a prominent spot at the prestigious Journées Musicales de Carthage, where she stood out among emerging talents. That same year, she joined the hammamet International Festival as part of Slim Abida’s jazz project.
In 2024, her artistic reach the SHE ART’s festival in Cairo, she delivered a memorable performance at the Ewart Memorial Hall, accompanied by the talented Egyptian pianist Andrew Milad
A versatile musical chameleon, the Tunisian bassist and composer expresses himself through jazz crossover, in a style reminiscent of Richard Bona, Marcus Miller, and Ibrahim Maalouf. In 2002, he co-founded Melmoth, one of Tunisia’s most renowned Rock and Metal bands, and the first to perform internationally (Algeria – Lelahel Metal International Festival in 2002, Morocco – Boulevard des Jeunes Festival in Casablanca in 2006). In 2005, Slim Abida participated in launching Goultrah Sound System, a fusion of Gnawa, Dub, and Reggae. The project was a great success in Tunisia, leading to numerous live performances. They recorded a successful 4-track EP and a full album. He also recorded an album with singer Badiaa Bouhrizi (alias Neyssa) and another project titled Fikra (meaning “idea” in Arabic) with Haïdar Hamdi and his band Barbaroots, released in France on May 25, 2015. Slim Abida has collaborated with many internationally renowned artists, such as Naïssam Jalal, Amine Bouhafa, and Sabry Mosbah. He is the founder of Jazz Oil, a jazz-world music group, with whom he released the album Lamma in 2016. In 2020, he made a mark with his first solo album, Fréquences Basses. Currently, he is preparing his second solo album, Asymétrie, set for release in January 2022, and is working on a new album with Jazz Oil.
