Most of the problems we encounter with the adolescent have a common and shared basis: the conflict between the adolescent’s desire for full freedom, and the parents’ desire for total control.

All adolescents want freedom to do whatever they want whenever they want. they need to learn that freedom is gained, and that they can gain it by taking responsibility and understanding the concept of boundaries, so the adolescent can learn about his/her duties and rights in life and become a balanced human being.
