This workshop aims to :

Familiarize participants to various forms of digital media, and provide understanding of  the basic principles of content creation from feminist and gender-sensitive perspectives encompassing the language, imagery and content.

This workshop will be facilitated by Ms. Ranim Al Afif, a feminist journalist with thirteen years of experience in feminist journalism and seven years of training in gender-sensitive media. She also has expertise in cinematic analysis from a feminist perspective. Al Afifi is the founder and executive director of the feminist media project «ولها وجوه أخرى» “ She Has Other Faces” established eleven years ago.  She has developed two manuals for journalists on gender-sensitive journalism (Fundamentals of Gender-Sensitive Journalism) and (Gender-Sensitive Coverage of Emergencies and Health Crises). She has published a study titled (The Status of Women on Egyptian cinematic Posters: 1930-2015).
