Film Screening: “In Memory of Mohamed Khan – ‘In Heliopolis Apartment'”

In this event, we remember and celebrate the great Egyptian director Mohamed Khan, born in Cairo on October 26, 1942, and who passed away on July 26, 2016. Khan studied cinema in London and graduated in 1963. He is considered one of the pioneers of the New Realism in Egyptian cinema. Throughout his career, he presented films that left a lasting impact on audiences and critics alike, including Sunny Strike, El Harrif ,  A Dinner Appointment , Gone and Never Came Back, The Wife of an Important Man, and In Heliopolis Apartment.

Several of Mohamed Khan’s films are featured in the list of the 100 greatest films in Egyptian cinema history, including:

The Wife of an Important Man (1988), Gone and Never Came Back (1985), Supermarket (1990), and Dreams of Hind and Camelia (1988).
