About Event:

Philosophy in Our Daily Lives – Celebrating World Philosophy Day

Philosophy represents the cultural heritage of every nation, embodying questions about its future as much as reflections on its past. In celebration of World Philosophy Day, this seminar will explore the role of philosophy in our daily lives. Every individual has their own philosophy and perspective on life, guiding their interactions with others. In this sense, philosophy is present in our daily actions.

However, when it comes to philosophy in its legitimate academic sense—defended by thinkers like Taha Hussein and his contemporaries—the answer becomes neither simple nor immediate. Philosophy in this sense serves as the driving force of civilization, one we strive to catch up with in various ways. This seminar seeks to raise questions about the presence of philosophy in our daily reality, with all its complexities.
