The cinema club has carefully selected Marzouk’s groundbreaking works, including his first feature films, “My Wife and the Dog” (1971) and “Fear” (1972). These films mark a new and innovative phase in Egyptian cinema, deviating from the mainstream in terms of narrative style and introducing fresh ideas. They have surpassed similar international attempts of the time, solidifying Marzouk’s status as a visionary filmmaker.
