Ambararo is a dance performance that explores the molds societies create by imposing
behavioral and psychological patterns that push people to think, act, and move alike. The
performance reflects on these structures, questioning how they shape us and seeking ways to
break free.
The work is inspired by Ambararo, a Sudanese tribe whose traditions challenge conventional
norms.
In its third edition, the project focuses on the molds placed on women, those imposed by
society, reinforced by other women, and the social and psychological struggles that result from
them.
