**”He Left and Never Returned”**

The film tells the story of a young employee named “Attia,” who lives a modest life in Cairo and tries to find a solution to his financial crisis in order to marry his fiancée. After his mother-in-law threatens to break off the engagement, he travels to his hometown in the countryside to find a buyer for a piece of land he inherited. He is warmly hosted by “Kamal Bek,” one of his relatives, who treats him like family. Attia becomes entangled in a series of complications that delay the sale of the land, giving him more time to spend with Kamal Bek’s family. Amidst warm family moments and emotions that Attia misses in the capital, he falls in love with “Kheireya,” Kamal Bek’s daughter. In the countryside, Attia finds everything that was missing in his life in the city.
