Workshop: The Narrative Toolbox – Principles and Techniques of Story & Novel Writing with Author Mohamed Abdelnaby

🎉 Do you love to write?
✍️ Have a story or novel idea but don’t know how to start?
📚 Or have you already begun but feel you need to refine your skills and revisit storytelling fundamentals?

This opportunity is for you!
The “Narrative Toolbox” workshop is an intensive training on the principles and techniques of writing short stories and novels, led by one of the Arab world’s most prominent authors and writing instructors: Mohamed Abdelnaby.

🔧 This workshop will equip you with a “toolbox” to start or develop your narrative project, step by step—from the initial idea to the final draft. We’ll cover theoretical concepts and practical exercises, analyzing elements like plot, dialogue, character development, setting, and more.

👨‍🏫 About the Instructor:
Mohamed Abdelnaby is an award-winning writer, translator, and writing coach. His novels and short story collections have earned major literary prizes, including four Sawiris Cultural Awards over fifteen years and multiple nominations for the International Prize for Arabic Fiction (Arabic Booker). His novel In the Spider’s Room won the Institut du Monde Arabe Prize for its French translation.

Since 2009, he has trained writers through his renowned “The Story and Its Craft” workshops. He authored a book by the same name, offering writing principles, techniques, and exercises. He continues to evolve as a mentor and finds joy in every workshop he leads.
