About Event:

To what extent can a person reach in their indifference? To the point where everything becomes unimportant, ordinary, and natural to them, rendering them completely numb. Everything becomes the same to them—whether they accept everything or reject nothing.

In this novel, our feelings toward Meursault don’t matter. What matters is how we perceive him. Is he different? Is he insane? We can condemn everything Meursault did, or we can try to understand some of his actions. But what’s important is to realize that Meursault is subject to our judgment, and his difference and strangeness will make him pay a price—one he might not have paid if he weren’t different, if he were just a copy of us.

The Stranger, written by Albert Camus in 1942, was his first literary work. It encapsulates the absurdist view of humanity, rebellion, and the search for meaning in life. The novel tells the story of Meursault, a young man who freed himself from all human emotions and followed his own principles, ultimately leading him to his execution.
